A family tradition
Before we were a brand,
we were a rug-making family.
Our story begins in Bhadohi, India, where rug making has long been part of our family’s everyday life. We grew up around looms, wool and the patient work of turning a design into something you can live with.
That knowledge has passed through four generations. In 2017, Rishabh Maurya founded Glaring Rugs to bring our craft into homes around the world.
A new chapter began in 2022, when Rishabh married Prerna Maurya. Prerna joined the business and helped take Glaring Rugs to the next level. As Managing Director, she carries this shared vision forward.
Today, we carry the same care into every design: thoughtful colour, beautiful texture and a rug that feels personal to the home it becomes part of.

We’re based in Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Our fourth-generation rug-making family works with homeowners and design professionals around the world.
