Teal Folk Art Oushak Rug

The charm of this teal folk art oushak rug comes from its loose, almost hand-drawn florals. Yellow, coral, and sage motifs spread widely across a teal-green field, leaving generous open space between them. A sage-green outer border repeats the quiet green family rather than introducing a hard contrast. It has a more casual, folk-art feeling than a dense Persian pattern, making it a good partner for relaxed seating, woven textures, and rooms that mix old pieces with clean-lined furniture.

Hand-Knotted Construction

This teal folk art oushak rug is made in Bhadohi, India, the carpet weaving capital of the world. Artisan weavers knot it one knot at a time on a loom, using hand-spun wool yarn for the 100% wool pile over a cotton foundation. It is then hand-washed and finished. Each rug is knotted at a density of 25 to 35 knots per square inch and finished to a 0.5 inch pile, giving a substantial, hard-wearing surface that holds its detail underfoot.

Sizes and Shapes

There are 45 sizes across four shapes: rectangles from 4x6 to 9x14, runners from 2'6x6 to 3x14, and round and square rugs from 4 to 9 feet. An 8x10 is a practical fit for most living rooms with sofa front legs on the rug. For broad, open-plan furniture layouts, a 9x12 creates a more grounded arrangement.

Made to Order

Each rug begins after your order is placed. It is made to order rather than mass produced, so the workshop knots it as a distinct piece. Small variations in line, color, and finish are natural to handmade work. They give the rug its own character and are part of what makes it handmade.

Care

  • Vacuum without a beater bar to lift surface dust gently.
  • Blot spills promptly; never rub them into the wool.
  • Use professional cleaning when needed and rotate every 6-12 months for even wear.
  • Add a rug pad for cushioning and steadier placement.

Duties:
Please be aware that import and customs duties, imposed by local authorities, are beyond our control and are not included in your order total. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and must be paid directly to the shipping company or customs office upon delivery.

Return Policy

We have a 7-day return policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it,  unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

To start a return, you can contact us at glaringrugs@gmail.com. Please note that returns address will be provide once the return is approved. 

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Customer is liable to pay for return shipping and 20% restocking fee will be charged.
